SAMARINDA UNDERGROUND

Formed on August 18, 1992 in Jakarta, the  nation's capital; TRAUMA has been proving themselves as one of the  oldest Indonesian death metal leaders that still exists today. TRAUMA is  recognized as a leading example of deep visualization of songwriting,  wicked playing skill and a ground-breaking arrangement to death.

In  1997, TRAUMA's first demo “Incomplete Damnation” been released. Next in  1998, TRAUMA released a full length album “Extinction of Mankind”  through a local indie label; MORBID NOISE RECORDS. One year later, this  album then has been licensed exclusively by PSYCHIC SCREAM ENTERTAINMENT  [a supported Malaysian label from PONY CANYON] that intended for market  in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Furthermore in 2000, a Chicago,  US' label; OWL RECORDS licensed this album for wider markets as well.

In  the same year, PSYCHIC SCREAM ENTERTAINMENT released a split album of  TRAUMA and UNVEILED [Malaysia] for worldwide market. In 2002, a local  label; EXTREME SOUL PRODUCTION released a split album for TRAUMA and  AGATHOCLES [a legendary Belgian mince core band] titled “Death Metal vs.  Mince Core”. In the same year also, a Netherlands' label; MANGLED STEW  RECORDS merging TRAUMA along with their local band; TUMOUR, in a split  album titled “Death Metal vs. Gore Grind”. Subsequently, this  Holland-based label then had released 4 ways split album that includes 4  bands: TRAUMA [Indonesia], PLANKTON, SANGUINARY and INTUMESCENE [the  rests are from Netherlands].

This far, TRAUMA has been involved  in more than 50 album compilation titles that have been released by  labels in Indonesia and overseas, such as: France, US, Australia,  Russia, Germany, Ukraine, Thailand, Mexico and many others. There's one  of the biggest Indonesian underground compilation titled “Metalik  Klinik”. TRAUMA appeared on Vol. 1 in 1997 and Vol.5 in 2003. This  Rotorcorp/MUSICA's production is has been sold over than 100.000 albums.

Afterward,  TRAUMA also had tagged along in a compilation titled “Panggilan Pulau  Puaka” [Vol. II and III] under PSYCHIC SCREAM ENTERTAINMENT. It is said  that this album was a most recognized in Malaysia in 2000-2001. PONY  CANYON also involved TRAUMA in a compilation CD titled “METAL KLASIK  Malaysia vs. Indonesia”.

Several TRAUMA's songs have been number 1  in some rock chart in local I-Radio that put TRAUMA's song; “Pelangi  Hitam” [June, 2002] on the top. This position even hung on for 5 weeks.  TRAUMA showed up on interview pages as well, such as fanzine,  underground magazine around Indonesia and overseas even on more  mainstream press.

TRAUMA's albums had given big positive  responses from heaps of label/magazine in overseas, for instance:  RELEAPSE [USA], BRUTALIZED [USA] even Max Cavalera [SEPULTURA/SOULFLY]  also commented TRAUMA's songs in e-mail. TRAUMA always perform their  best and try to be themselves without being a ‘follower' or ‘fake' from  other great death metal bands in overseas that had given TRAUMA such  great influences.

Finally on March 26, 2003, TRAUMA released  their second full length album under KROSSOVER Records/MUSICA; titled  “Paradigma: Demi Hidup Tak Perlu Harus Mati” with 11 songs in total.  This album had been sold more than 10.000 units in the first 2 weeks.  Video clip from this album, “Api dalam Otak” also often appeared on MTV  Indonesia in 2003.

Next 4 months after, an indie label EDELWEISS  Production released TRAUMA's autobiography book called “Dimensi  Paradigma”. It was written by Nino Aspiranta, TRAUMA's vocalist, about  the whole journey of TRAUMA from 1992 until 2003 completely.

Based  on heaps of request, on December 2004, right after 6 years since  “Extinction of Mankind” that had been released in 1998; VARIANT MUSIC  INDONESIA [VMI] with distribution support from ALFA RECORDS decided to  re-release this album, including 1 bonus unreleased track. With the  brand new cover and look, TRAUMA's anthem ”Human Suffering” had a video  clip done as well. Then this would be the third video clip after  ”Penjara Dendam” [METALIK KLINIK II – 2002] and ”Api dalam Otak”  [Paradigma, Demi Hidup Tak Perlu Harus Mati – 2003].

Lastly, with  the current line-up: growl X scream: Nino Aspiranta [Nino], lead X  rhythm guitar: Heilla Tanissan [Hella], bass: Rusdi Hamied [Rusdi] and  drums-additional: Ramadhani Utomo [Dhani]. TRAUMA now is having their  third full length album released: DOMINASI KEMENANGAN out in November  2008 by ROXANA777 Records and distributed by RnB. Trivium is a band from Orlando, Florida. Their first album, Ember To Inferno, was released on Lifeforce Records in 2003, while their second album Ascendancy was released via Roadrunner Records on March 22nd, 2005. They recently released their third album, “The Crusade”, on which the band’s sound changed slightly, replacing screaming with clean singing and settling on a heavily Metallica-influenced style. They even play their older songs in this style now and even contributed to a Metallica cover album ‘Master Of Puppets- ReMastered’ playing the title track. Last year, the band hit the UK with Still Remains and 3 Inches of Blood for the 13-date Roadrunner Roadrage tour. The shows led them to far greater popularity in the UK, a feat proven by their critically-acclaimed opening slot at 2005’s Download Festival.
Towards the end of late summer 2005, the band took part in Ozzfest 2005 playing on the second stage alongside bands such as As I Lay Dying, Arch Enemy and Rob Zombie. When the ‘egg-gate’ issue surrounding Sharon Osbourne and Iron Maiden sparked, the band stayed true to their idols and despite Osbourne’s ensuing sabotage of their sets, were quoted as saying “I wouldn’t throw anything at Maiden, not even money”.

After Ozzfest the band headed back over to the UK for a headlining tour with All That Remains, before playing a series of shows in Japan with Arch Enemy, where their reputation was enhanced and anticipation for their third full-length grew.

Next, the band headed back to North America for a tour with Children of Bodom and Amon Amarth, which ran from November 9th to December 16th. After a big hit at Big Day Out in New Zealand and Australia with the likes of Muse, My Chemical Romance and Tool they are now on Lamb of God’s Sacrament tour in the US along with Gojira And Machine Head. Afterwards a tour through Europe with Annihilator and Sanctity (instead of machine head) Ensued the tour the US.

Trivium are also joined the 2007 Family Values Tour with Korn, Evanescence and Atreyu and many others.

They are currently taking a break but will be starting the The Black Crusade Tour in November 2007, with Machine Head, DragonForce, Arch Enemy and Shadows Fall

Bestial Devastation is a young Italian band, active from April 2002. Bestial Devastation loves to define their musical style, highly sick and destructive, “Bestial Metal”. After a series of violent shows, they undertake to layout of own pieces that are going to form their first “Sores, Blood & Pus” demo, recorded on April 2003 (published two months later). Then the band takes part in some compilations such as “Atlantida Vol.22” (2003 - Lithuania), “Register Of Zombies” (2004 - Italy), “Metalson I” (2004 - Italy), “Register Of Zombies 2” (2005 - Italy), “Underground Series Vol. 1” (2005 - France). In the beginning of June 2004 they record 8 tracks of ultragrinding Bestial Metal that will be released in a Split CD with Obscene by Redrum Records (USA) on March 22, 2005. They also take part in the “Lithanies of Purulent Death” compilation (with a Machetazo cover) released by Infernal Scum Records (France) in February 2005. From November 2004 to February 2005 Bestial Devastation record 17 tracks of sick Bestial Metal (included a cover of Sepultura) for their first full-length called “Splatter Mania” released by Deadsun Records (France) on July 25, 2005. From July to August 2005 Bestial Devastation record 6 new songs plus 3 cover tracks of Mortician, Gronibard and Anal Cunt, that has been released by Scrotum Jus Records (Singapore) in a Split CD with Demisor called “Total Fucking Gore!” on January 7, 2006. In the end of August 2005 the band makes a videoclip for the title track of the album “Splatter Mania”. The video has been filmed in Empoli (FI) Italy and directed by Marco Ristori from SplatterMovie Productions with the participation of the famous beautiful actress Chiara Pavoni and the actor Luca “Mad Butcher” Boni. Google Video, Rock TV and YouTube.com (after more than 11000 views) ban this videoclip. It’s currently on-air on MCM TV, a French pay-tv channel. In the beginning of September 2005 the band participates at the third edition of the famous festival of Splatter/Gore movies called Tirrenia Trema 3 in Tirrenia (PI) Italy. In March 2006, Bestial Devastation and Extreme Video (a division of SplatterMovie Productions) film “The Sublime Art Of Devastation”, another videoclip taken from their debut album “Splatter Mania”. In July 26, the band appears for the first time in TV, participating at “Extreme Metal Database”, a one-hour TV program on-air on Rock TV, an Italian SKY pay-tv channel, to promote “The Sublime Art Of Devastation” videoclip. In January 2007, the band enters in studio to record their second full-length, a concept album about vaginal illnesses called “Your Vagina Is Sick…”. A few months later BD signs with Meat 5000 Records (France) for the releasing of two albums. In July the band films their third videoclip for the track “Staphylococcus Aureus”, engineered by Marco Ristori and Luca Boni from Extreme Video again. But this time, with the participation of Laura Panerai, a really famous Italian Pornstar. This song will be chosen as opener track for the first BD album under Meat 5000 Records: "Your Vagina Is Sick...", released in October 2007. Just a week after the band starts the "Infecting Your Vagina European Tour 07", one month playing in almost all Europe and sharing the stage with Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition, Putrescence, Poppy Seed Grinder, Pigsty, Psychotic Despair, Craniotomy, Vaginal Chicken, Rotting Faith, Goryptic, Infest and many other bands. In 2008, after several gigs in Italy and a minitour with the last gig at Fekal Party '08 in Prague, playing with Rompeprop, Driller Killer, Stoma, Psychophagist, Satan's Revenge On Mankind, Slavebreed, Fleshless and many others, the band splits up.
